CCPC WINS FIRST PRIZE FOR CITIZEN ENGAGEMENT AT AFRICA PUBLIC SERVICE DAY 2025

The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) was yesterday awarded first prize in the Citizen Engagement category at the just-ended 2025 Africa Public Service Day that took place from 26th to 29th June 2025 at Eastpark in Lusaka. This recognition underscores the Commission’s commitment to protecting consumer welfare and ensuring fair competition in Zambia’s economy. Additionally, the Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry under which CCPC was exhibiting was honored with two prestigious awards: 1. Best Exhibitor and 2. Best Legal and Structural Reforms. These reflect the Ministry’s leadership in advancing policy reforms and engaging with stakeholders in a rights way. Africa Public Service Day 2025 brought together different institutions to showcase milestones in the public sector. Minister of Commerce Trade and Industry Hon. Chipoka Mulenga MP, officially flagged off the 59th Zambia International Trade Fair march past. In the Company of the Permanent Secretary in charge of Commerce and Trade Lillian S. Bwalya, the Minister toured selected stands to appreciate the roles and contributions of different economic players in improving the country's economic growth and development. During his tour of the Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry stand, Hon. Mulenga further congratulated CCPC for the prestigious citizen engagement award it recently bagged at the Africa Public Service Day commemoration. 2nd JulyCCPC
